Gawsh…I just finished the first volume. i had so many mixed emotions when i read the last page…disappointment because it ended, anger because i needed to know what happens next, and hungry for more…overall, i believe this will be an excellent manga

Althalus – I’m glad to hear the GN stays close to the novel. Good adaptations are what’s needed to keep these doing well. I wonder why they stated with the 2nd though? Better plot/characters? Better story to adapt? I’ll have to check out the novels at some point.

Got the first three novels after reading the GN, which is an adaptation of the first half of the second book (as mentioned in the review). Liked the first, was amazed by how closely the GN managed to match the second. The third was too much stuff pressed into one book (too many new concepts, too many new potential secondary plot lines). Not sure if I’ll read on. I’ll follow the GNs, though.

I might check this out. I’ve read several of the Dark Hunters books.
