The English-language, on the other hand, was horrible, as it is for virtually every English translation done. I don’t know if it’s the voice actors or the direction or what, but even for voice actors that don’t make you want to shove chopsticks through your eardrums, the overwhelming majority, when compared to the Japanese originals, are just… bad. There isn’t the same feeling, it’s like they’re all just reading words off a page, they don’t have any emotional attachment to what they’re doing. Maybe that’s because the majority of American voice-actors are minimum-wage flunkies, certainly when you seen Disney’s versions of the Miyazaki films, you don’t get that feeling because they use real actors, but for pretty much anything you’ll ever see on Funimation or Cartoon Network, it’s all abyssmal garbage.

That’s why I’ll never watch dubbed anime. It was good enough in Japanese to begin with, why do I need to watch talentless hacks stumbling through bad translations without a care, or any attachment, to what they’re doing?
