E-book readers still suffer from the same problems they have all along. They're still single-use devices that cost *WAY* too much, the media is far too expensive, most are very DRM-laden and they're just not convenient enough to outweigh all of the downsides. The only reason to have an e-book reader these days is to show off, certainly there is no rational reason to carry around a $200 device that holds hundreds of books you cannot conceivably read in any reasonable amount of time.

They still haven't come up with a device that's worth buying, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, where the media is cheaper than just buying a book at the bookstore. I want to *SAVE* money on the media and eventually pay off the device. That's just not the case today, nor do I see it happening in the short term future.
