Yeah. Either that cover was a misprint or something, because I just got my subscription issue, and it says $4.99. But the link looks legit (as far as I can tell), so who knows what’s going on.

Interestingly, the price for an annual subscription to SJ looks like it's going down as the price per issue goes up: The current subscription page boasts a "NEW LOW PRICE" of $26.95 for 12 issues (I believe the old price was $29.95/year), which is a savings of almost 72% off the new cover price (12 * 7.99 = 95.88).

Thanks for the link. Just wanted to clarify one thing… it didn’t start as a rumor on my site nor was ANN the one to confirm it. If you notice in my posting: “Not wanting to trust what was written given the context, I emailed Digital Manga’s President Hikaru Sasahara to confirm and further clarify the details.” I went on to confirm my conversation with him in the posting and quoted him throughout the post. I think that qualifies as confirming the story.
