I totally agree with you about Naruto. There is some much more to the world that Kishimoto could go into, and 3 Hokage worth of stories. It would be a nice break to see more of these, like with the Kakashi flashback.

The 6 issue sub has been around for a few issues. I think it, like the fewer volumes coming out is a consession to the economy, though I do thing SJ is a loss leader for Viz, just as it was for Yen. I don't know that I'd want SJ to go digital though. I like have at least one paper mag to carry around.

I did not like the changes made this issue of SJ. I missed the two pages of video game coverage. I think it would be nice for them to do a good article on Pokemon and the new game in Japan. It was really surprising that only 5 SJ manga will be released in SEPT. I found the flashback in Naruto interesting but short, which I think is unfortunate thing about Naruto. The focus has to stay on Naruto and his nemisis Sasuke, when there is so much more interesting things behind the scenes.

The one thing I did notice was the ad for 6 issues of SJ for $15. Yen Plus did that during their last year before moving to online version. I sincerely hope SJ is just coasting till DEC's changes. I do really enjoy the money making titles, but I would also like more titles offfered in SJ.
