Currently I am following Arata: The Legend, Twin Spica, and Rin-Ne, so I feel the need to pick those up, but at the same time, I am more interested in Toradora than I feel like I should be, so perhaps I will pick that instead. Too many choices!

Connie’s Pick: On one hand, Detroit Metal City is still making me laugh far harder than it should 8 volumes into a gag series. On the other hand, Rasetsu is my current obsession. It’s been slowly growing on me with each new volume, and now that we are reaching the conclusion of the series (this is the second-to-last volume), the blend of engaging supernatural threats and well-developed characters makes for a real page-turner.

Justin’s Pick: A week with choices! It looks like publishing schedules are picking up as we move out of the first quarter of the year. In addition to the books mentioned by Alex and Connie, I think Dogs is always worth a look. However, I’m going to cheat this week, and pull from something not on this list. Viz has released an ipad app–and, for the month of March, ALL their volume 1’s are priced at $0.99! You could check out any of a hundred series from Viz that you’ve been curious about with very little cost. Missed out on That’s hard to pass up. Now I just need to borrow someone’s ipad…

John’s Pick: I have been so impressed by the depth and detail of Twin Spica, and I am so glad to see this rich series continue. Who thought Space School could be so interesting?

Amy’s Pick: I’m stoked that the first volume of Toradora is being released this week. Out of all the manga being released in March this is only title that I rushed to pre-order. Excited to see what this romantic comedy series has to offer.

Lori’s Pick: While Rasetsu and Twin Spica are must buys for me, I have to give my pick to Inukami, a funny, and slightly risqué series with shades of Urusei Yatsura in it. This week finishes the series with an omnibus of the last three volumes, and at a great price too!

It’s nice when publishers start to come back to life.
