The Picks:

Alex’s Pick: Here it is! It only comes once every year, but it’s worth the wait – it’s Ooku: the Inner Chambers. This ongoing historical rewrite from Fumi Yoshinaga is the real deal. It is smart, entertaining, and often sexy. I have the first five volumes and I will be quickly picking up the sixth.

Amy’s Pick: Few titles this week that I’d love to grab but my heart is set on snagging the latest volume of Black Butler!

John T’s Pick: The space epic Twin Spica has been going strong for eight full volumes. If you haven’t started this shojo outer-space camp story, get on board.

Justin’s Pick: My daughter trumps any other of my choices this week: She’s been waiting for Majoko Volume 5 since they announced it’s release over a year or more ago. I’m just glad Udon is finishing it up, since it looks like they’ve abandoned their kids manga line– an unfortunate fact, if true, because they had some cute titles, Majoko being among the best.

Connie’s Pick: I’m with Amy, it’s gotta be Black Butler this week. The story that starts in that volume is shaping up to be fantastic. I’m always happy when one of the Vagabond omnibuses comes out, too. It’s a re-release, but it’s new to me, and I can’t get enough of the beautiful artwork and story.

Lori’s Pick: While Fairy Tail, Twin Spica, and Black Butler are high on my must have list, the volume that is an absolute must is Time And Again. This manhwa has been funny, sweet, and heartbreaking and volume 6 ends the series.
