The Picks:

Alex’s Pick: The list may be a little slim this week, but Kodansha still knows how to please – Negima! Magister Negi Magi is one of my guilty pleasures, and I’ll definitely be picking up this volume as soon as possible.

John’s Pick: I agree with Alex on all counts. Things are a little light this week, and although Kodansha USA is not putting out anywhere near the volume of the headquarters in Japan, they choose some very quality titles, like Negima! Magister Negi Magi.

Justin’s Pick: Or anti-pick, as it may be. I’m not a big fan of James Patterson, in part because he has a studio of writers churning out material (in that sense he’s more of a brand than a writer), but the Maximum Ride manwha was pretty good. Not so with Daniel X. I find the art run-of-the-mill and the character and his abilities are pure amateur/wish-fulfillment stuff.

Amy’s Pick: Oh so much delicious yaoi being released this week! I’d love to snag all of them but I’ve been most looking forward to is I Give To You. I’m pretty much a sucker for story lines dealing with one of the main characters being in debt especially when it’s twice over!

Lori’s Pick: I’m not a BL reader by any means, but I am totally hooked on Makoto Tateno and her title Angelic Runes. I love Sowil and the child oracles channelling the angels and demons. She makes great use of the angels and demons. I loved volume 1 and can’t wait to read volume 2!
