Every week, Viz Media and the New York Times posts the top ten bestselling books. For Viz Media, it is the bestsellers on their site, Vizmanga.com. The New York Times gets their numbers of print sales from retailers. Offered here is a listing of these books with their status this week compared with the previous week, and some way-off analysis of the activity.

Just as the Obata sale ends, Viz starts a Naruto sale, in honor of the series ending this month, and as expected, early titles hit this week’s list. The first three volumes make a respectable showing with volumes 1 and 2 breaking the top 5. New shonen titles take up the majority of the list with the newest Bleach taking the top spot. The second volume of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures Part 1 also debuts a little lower than expected, but that can easily change. New shojo series Kiss of the Rose Prince charts at the bottom of the list topped by long time shojo Dengeki Daisy which is nearing the end of its run.

The only thing that I would accept for knocking down Attack on Titan No Regrets Vol 2 from the top spot is another Attack on Titan volume. The newest entry into that series, volume 14 debuts at #1. The new Bleach, volume 62, debuts right behind at #2. No Game No Life volume 1 is proving to have quite a bit of life as it holds on to the same spot for a second week in a row and for three weeks on the list total. The new Pokemon Adventures: Black and White debuts just short of the top 5, beat out by the new Fairy Tail and Attack on Titan vol 1 making its way back up.
