Wow, this week digital releases outnumber print ones. Only four publishers have print titles. Drawn and Quarterly continues their releases of Shigeru Mizuki’s catalog, with the biography Hitler out this week. Kodansha releases the Master’s Edition of Fairy Tail, that collects the first 5 volumes in one massive tome which is good for new readers wanting to get in or die-hard completests.

But the publisher that has the titles I’m really interested in is Viz Media. Ooku The Inner Chambers has been coming out slowly but surely, as the releases are now only once a year. But it’s a good thing when that year comes around, and it’s at the holidays, making it perfect to add to any wish list. I was hoping I would like Ultraman, and I did enjoy the first volume, which ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, making the second volume a must have.

In the digital realm, Viz releases more rescued Tokyopop titles as well as the new Weekly Shonen Jump with also features a look at a new title from the creator of Cross Manage. I really liked Cross Manage, and that this new title, Buddy Strike, is a baseball title, can only bode well. Kodansha has kept up with their eBooks of titles streaming on Crunchyroll, while Yen Press has new chapters of their simulpub titles.

Even with only a few print titles out, one would be hard-pressed to not be able to find something to pick up this week.
