It’s the start of a new year, and that means new titles debuting from Seven Seas Entertainment, Vertical Comics and Viz Media Digital.

 Seven Seas releases two new titles; My Monster Secret and Testament of Sister New Devil. Continuing their catalog of monster girls, My Monster Secret is a rom-com with a human boy at the center of a harem of monster girls. Testament of Sister New Devil is a light novel adaptation that is also a supernatural harem rom-com with heavy male-gaze elements. Vertical Comics has an omnibus by alternate manga creator Inio Asano coming out this week. A Girl on the Shore is a coming of age story that will challenge older readers as well as entertain. Viz Media brings back another former Tokyopop title in Saving Life, a digital exclusive for their Select line.

Old favorites that have volumes coming out this week include A Silent Voice Vol 5 and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches Vol 6 from Kodansha, My Neighbor Seki Vol 6 from Vertical Comics, and Volume 3 of the shojo retelling of Shakespeare’s Henry IV/Richard III in Requiem of the Rose King from Viz Media.

I’m sticking with the old favorites this time around. They’re all titles I really enjoy. And besides, I’d rather fall behind with the titles I know than start more new ones to fall behind on.
