It’s a Yen Press Week with the bulk of the publisher’s print titles coming out. Trying to stay above this wave is Kodansha Comics and Vertical Comics with a few strong titles, while digital releases keep up their fairly steady pace.

Not only does Yen hold the majority of the list, they have several titles debuting. How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend brings the world of creating visual novels to the forefront. Log Horizon: The West Wind Brigade is a spin off of the light novel and manga adaptation of the Log Horizon series. Sword Art Online: Phantom Bullet is the next story line in the Sword Art Online series of light novels, taking on Gun Gale Online. Taboo Tattoo is a fighting series that should please martial arts fans.

New volumes of some new Yen Press favorites of mine are out this week as well. Devil Is a Part Timer is one of the titles that Yen Press got both the light novel and manga adaptation. I read the first three volumes and really enjoyed them. It’s a fun comedy with buds of romantic elements sprouting. I’m not the only one to enjoy it either. Just last week, YALSA, the Young Adult Library Services Association announced their Great Graphic Novels for Teens, and Devil is a Part-Timer was included. Volume 4 is out finally. Horimiya is a romantic comedy that surprised me with it’s slice of life story and enjoyable characters. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in Volume 2.

Kodansha’s My Little Monster Volume 12 and Noragami Stray God Volume 10 are also must haves, as is Vertical’s Complete Chi’s Sweet Home Volume 2. Yes, I already have the volumes it collects, but I have to have the bonus material too!
