It’s another light week, but the publishers are spread around better than last week, including one we don’t see often. That also doesn’t mean your wallet is any safer as there are some debut titles and omnibuses that may have to grace your shelves.

Netcomics has been around for a long time, but went silent for several years. Last year they resurfaced, continuing to release chapters of the Korean manhwa they had before, but also with new titles. This week it’s volume 4 of both Chiro The Star Project which had been rescued from Udon Entertainment, and new BL vampire series Sweet Blood.

Seven Seas Entertainment  has the majority of releases this week, including two debut titles; Angel Beats Heaven’s Door, and Franken Fran. Franken Fran is a comedy-horror title that is being released in omnibus edition. It is about Fran, a girl created to be a doctor’s assistant, but takes over his house while he is gone. She is presented with medical cases that she takes on that then inevitably end in something gruesome. Horror fans will love the mix of comedy and horror. It is a lot like Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service from Dark Horse Comics. It is being re-released as an omnibus, and takes the mystery route to show its horror lighted by some comedic moments. Both will cost you a Jackson, unless you hit up an online retailer, but are worth the price.

Already out in stores, but only just reaching Diamond are big sellers’ Noragami Stray God Volume 9 from Kodansha and Monster Musume Volume 8, both of which also already hit the NYT bestseller list.
