Every week, the New York Times and Amazon posts the top ten bestselling books. The New York Times gets their numbers from print sales from retailers, while Amazon and Vizmanga.com calculates their own numbers. Once a month the Nielsen Bookscan posts their top twenty graphic novels of which manga is included. Offered here is a listing of these books with their status this week compared with the previous week, and some way-off analysis of the activity.

New York Times Bestseller List for the week ending October 31, 2015
Tokyo Ghoul Vol 3 ↔- Akame ga Kill! Vol 4 ∗
- Tokyo Ghoul Vol 1 ↓ 1
- Junji Ito’s Cat Diary: Yon and Mu ∗
- Tokyo Ghoul Vol 2 ↔
- Horimiya Vol 1 ∗
- One-Punch Man Vol 1 ↑ 1
- The Devil is a Part-Timer Vol 3 ∗
- One-Punch Man Vol 2 ↑ 1
- Naruto Vol 72 ↓ 7
Tokyo Ghoul Vol 3 keeps its hold on the top spot this week. It’s like a game of hopscotch for Viz as another publisher’s title pops in between their Tokyo Ghouls and One-Punch Mans. Yen Press makes the biggest impression as it gets three titles to chart. Akame ga Kill vol 4 almost makes it to #1 while their new title, Horimiya Vol 1 only gets as close as #6. But I am thrilled to see Kodansha’s Junji Ito’s Cat Diary: Yon and Mu not only make the list, but make it to the top 5! Yeah for spooky cats! and for the week of Halloween. So appropriate!

Amazon.com for the week ending November 7, 2015
One-Punch Man Vol 1 ↑ 2- One-Punch Man Vol 3 ↓ 1
- One-Punch Man Vol 2 ↑ 2
- Naruto: Kakashi’s Story ↵ 1
- Tokyo Ghoul Vol 3 ↓ 1
- Naruto Vol 72 ↓ 4
- Tokyo Ghoul Vol 1 ↔ 1
- Tokyo Ghoul Vol 2 ↵ 12
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency Vol 1 ∗
- My Hero Academia Vol 2 ∗
It’s a 1-2-3 punch, or 1-3-2, for One-Punch Man as the first three volumes line up again to take the top three spots. Tokyo Ghoul gets its first three volumes back on the list as well, though not so well lined up. Naruto gets in the way with Vol 72 and the light novel Kakashi’s Story separating vol 3 from 1 and 2. Rounding out the list are newcomers JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency Vol 1 and My Hero Academia Vol 2. This also give Viz Media complete dominance over the top ten.
