Every week, the New York Times and Amazon posts the top ten bestselling books. The New York Times gets their numbers from print sales from retailers, while Amazon calculates their own numbers. Once a month the Nielsen Bookscan posts their top twenty graphic novels of which manga is included. Offered here is a listing of these books with their status this week compared with the previous week, along with some commentary on the activity.

One-Punch Man Vol 6 keeps its hold on the top spot, while it and Tokyo Ghoul show My Her Academia who’s in charge by pushing the newcomer’s Vol 4 down to #5. Attack on Titan Vol 18 finds some new life as it rockets up four places to #6. One Piece Vol 78 hangs on for a second week, while only two titles debut. Blue Exorcist vol 15 from Viz, and Seven Deadly Sins Vol 14 from Kodansha. It’s been a while since Seven Deadly Sins made the list, so it’s good to see them back.

Only the top two titles hang on this week. One-Punch Man Vol 6 and My Hero Academia Vol 4 kept the top two spots while Tokyo Ghoul Vol 1 and Vol 6 switch places. The Viz Media monopoly is finally broken as Seven Seas Entertainment’s Monster Musume: I Heart Monster Girls Vol 1 and Yen Press’ Yotsuba&! Vol 13 break through to take the 5th and 6th spots, but the trifecta of Tokyo Ghoul, My Hero Academia and One-Punch Man continue to surround them.
